EnergyRepServices - Designated Representative Service for REMIT Compliance

Designated REMIT Representative Services

We provide Designated REMIT Representative services for non-EU participants in EU wholesale energy markets (Gas and Power). We support ACER / CEREMP registration, ongoing REMIT compliance, and official representation in the EU for regulatory communication and obligations. Here’s how we support you:

1. Designated EU Representative Services

We understand the complexities of appointing a designated REMIT representative in the EU. That's why we:

  • Enter into a written mandate agreement with your company, authorizing us to act as your EU designated REMIT representative in accordance with the scope of Article 9 of REMIT.
  • Assist with our registration as your designated EU REMIT representative in Germany with the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) via the CEREMP Portal through the Bundesnetzagentur (BNetzA).
  • Provide a reliable address for receiving and managing compliance with regulatory decisions or requests for information under Article 9 of REMIT, ensuring you meet all necessary requirements.
2. Seamless Registration and Communication Support

As your EU REMIT representative, we ensure full compliance by:

  • Facilitating all communication flows with regulatory bodies such as ACER and the Bundesnetzagentur (BNetzA) using state-of-the-art technology solutions to ensure efficiency and reliability.
  • Managing timely responses to decisions and requests for information, using advanced and secure technology to keep you compliant without interrupting your operations.

By facilitating energyrepservices, you can trust that your company's REMIT registration compliance is handled with precision, leveraging modern IT solutions for seamless communication and timely responses. We are aware that companies have unique needs, and we are committed to providing tailored services to meet your specific requirements. Your Obligations as an ACER registered Market Participant under REMIT

1. Register with a National Regulatory Authority

Non-EU companies must register with the national regulatory authority in the EU Member State where your company is active in the wholesale energy market. You only need to register once, and your registration will apply across the entire EU. You do not need to register in multiple Member States.

2. Designate a Representative in a EU Country matching your NRA

All non-EU companies must appoint a designated representative who resides or is organized in the same EU Member State where your company is registered with ACER. This representative will act on your behalf for regulatory matters.

3. Powers of the Designated Representative

Your designated representative should be authorized to manage communications with national regulatory authorities or ACER, including responding to regulatory decisions and information requests.

4. Ensure Information is Kept Updated

If any information in your registration changes, you must inform the national regulatory authority immediately to keep your registration current.
